Cross-border Information System “Forests of the National Parks”
Consists of two parts:
A) Public web portal (CZ–DE–EN)
- information about the forests of the national parks,
- map outputs and project results,
- virtual tours,
- educational materials
B) Map and data portal for the National Park Administrations
- catalogue of forest data from both national parks,
- database of forest-related projects,
- geospatial data produced within the project (remote sensing, UAV, historical imagery).
Methodologies, Databases, Cartographic Outputs
- Methodology for forest monitoring based on historical time series (aerial imagery, satellite data, LiDAR)
- Methodology for forest monitoring using UAV and field data in cross-border model areas
- Digital catalogue of forest data
- Database of forest projects
- 2D and 3D maps of forest changes and forest condition based on historical and UAV data
- Virtual tours along selected cross-border hiking trails.
Education, Public Outreach and Dissemination
- Educational materials for schools and the general public on forest change and remote sensing
- Printed brochure on the importance, condition, development and protection of forests
- Three cross-border workshops for National Park Administrations, universities and experts
- Exhibition with catalogue presenting the forests of the national parks and project results, as well as a public lecture at the exhibition opening

- Scientific article summarising the main project results

Strategic Outputs
- Cross-border strategy and action plan for communication with the public in the national parks
- Cross-border strategy and action plan for the inventory, harmonisation and sharing of forest data in the national parks
- Action plan for a unified cross-border methodology for forest monitoring using remote sensing in the national parks
