TransForMon is implemented by a cross-border Czech–German consortium that brings together the expertise and interests of two national parks and two universities. This cooperation combines long-standing knowledge of the local environment and protected area management with advanced research in remote sensing, geoinformatics, and forest ecosystem analysis, leading to unified monitoring methods and establishing a modern and sustainable framework for joint forest observation and protection. The consortium also actively develops relationships with local residents, schools, visitors, and regional organisations and creates space for mutual communication.
